that strikes my fancy!
Hello Friends!
I am writing to all of you to invite you to join me in my new web project.
In February 2012, I will be launching a new style blog called “that strikes my fancy!” The site itself is geared towards gals like ourselves- post-graduate, twenty-something, independent women with a knack for fashion, beauty, photography, culinary treats, lovely libations, etc. Unlike the other over-the-top style blogs I come across that suggest I splurge on a $1250 plain black cocktail frock, this site will provide gals with real suggestions that they can actually use.
As many of you know, I spent a number of years working & interning for numerous magazines and stylists. In 2009, I took a break from the fashion world and enrolled in graduate school. I finish my degree in January. Come February, I will be putting all of my energy into the development of this site. (Because you know, I can’t sit still for more than ten seconds…)
This is where you all come in. I am looking for serious-minded writers & photographers to volunteer submissions for the site. While I cannot pay you for your time, this format is an ideal way for your services to be seen. Displaying your work on the site will be a fabulous resume-booster. Together, we can create a site that will get our art seen.
If you are at all interested in participating, please feel free to contact me with any questions. At the bare minimum, I think this will be a fun way for all of us to reconnect.
